Washing

Hand Wash Only: Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a few drops of a gentle detergent specifically designed for silk.

Soak Gently: Submerge your silk and gently agitate the water. Avoid rubbing or wringing, as this can damage the fibers.

Rinse Carefully: Drain the soapy water and rinse the garment in cool, clean water.

Drying

Do Not Wring: After rinsing, gently press out excess water without twisting or wringing.

Hang Dry: Hang to dry in a a cool dry place. Keep away from direct sunlight. Or lay flat to dry.

Steaming

Freshening Up: To remove wrinkles and freshen your silk scarves, use a handheld steamer. 

Steam Carefully: Move the steamer in a downward motion, allowing the steam to gently relax the fibers. This method is ideal for maintaining the silk’s natural sheen without risking damage from an iron.

Ironing

Low Heat: If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting with steam. It's best to iron the garment inside out to protect the fabric's sheen.

Storage

Hang or Fold: Store silk garments in a cool, dry place. You can either hang them using padded hangers or fold them gently to avoid creasing.

Avoid Plastic: Use breathable fabric garment bags for long-term storage to protect against dust and moisture.

Stain Removal

Act Quickly: Blot any stains with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this may spread the stain.

Spot Clean: For small stains, use a silk-safe stain remover or dab with lukewarm water. 

General Tips

Avoid Perfumes and Oils: Direct contact with perfumes, lotions, or oils can cause staining. Allow products to dry before putting on silk.

Keep Away from Sunlight: Prolonged exposure can fade colors and weaken fibers.
